NESBReC collates, manages and provides biological information for the North East of Scotland.
Founded in 2000, NESBReC covers Aberdeenshire, Aberdeen City, Moray and since 2009 the Cairngorms Local Biodiversity Action Plan (LBAP) area. See map
Currently over 800,000 species records are held, as well as other biological datasets. We do this to support the North East Local Biodiversity Action Plan and the National Biodiversity Network. For more information on what we do, see About us
NESBREC would like to pass on its sincerest thanks to all those recorders and organisations that have provided us with the data included in these web pages. We would also like to thank the many volunteers who have given their valuable time since 2000 in checking and processing records for NESBReC.
NESBReC on Flickr - we have recently setup a group on the image hosting site Flickr, which can be used to submit sightings to us (for example, photos from a digital camera). You'll need a free flickr account to add content to the group but this isn't required for viewing. The group can be accessed from the link NESBReC on Flickr and opens in a new window.
